monitor riser

Proper monitor height is an important part of workspace ergonomics. Sometimes this can be achieved with a monitor’s included stand or with a monitor arm, but other times a monitor riser may be necessary to raise a monitor up to the desired height.

A monitor riser can be purchased, constructed bespoke, or improvised with things you already have around your house.

Pre-built monitor risers range in price from quite cheap to very expensive, but spending money is not necessary to raise a monitor. A common solution is to use a stack of books, which has the advantage of being easily adjustable by adding or removing books.

It's the foundation of everything I'm working on right now! By which I mean it's holding up my monitor.
